Welcome to the Light Archers' website. Here you will find everything you need to know about Light Archers - when shoots will be, when new beginners' courses are being held, results from club shoots and more.
Light Archers are a new, but growing, club. We are based in Kapunda and shoot weekly, on Sundays, at the Kapunda trotting track. We hold regular beginner's courses (see our events calendar for dates and times) and welcome new members.
Archery is a sport for all people, of all ages and abilities. It has a long tradition and, as such, modern archery is a blend of old and new. There are many different forms of archery so you will be sure to find a style that suits you.
If there is something you are looking for and you cannot find it here, please feel free to contact us.
We hope to see you on the range soon!
Here at Light Archers we are interested in promoting all forms of archery. It is only by having a go at different disciplines that you find out what is and is not for you. We are lucky in that our grounds are large enough for us to hold regular clout meets. In fact, we have a registered clout shoot each month.
We would love and welcome any visitors from other clubs to come and join in with us on these (or any other) shoots. You can register online, via Archer’s Diary - just have a look at our calendar and follow the links.
We think clout is great fun and we know that not every club has the room available for it, so… Welcome, everyone!
Our club is very happy to announce that we now have a fully operational indoor range, with the ability to shoot both 18 and 25 metre rounds.
The indoor shoots will be on Thursday evenings with practice from 7.15 and comptition from 7.30. Register through Archer's Diary for the events, starting on Thursday the 19th of November. We look forward to seeing you there!
Keep an eye here and on our Facebook page for any updates or amendments to our shooting schedule. As the weather is getting hotter, we are currently reviewing our hot weather policy and this may result in some earlier shoot times in order to beat the heat.
